Chip Cards

A chip card is a standard-size plastic credit card that contains an embedded microchip as well as the traditional magnetic stripe. The chip encrypts information to increase data security when making transactions at a chip-enabled terminal.

Chip cards will be issued on new credit card accounts going forward. For existing customers, you will continue to use your magnetic stripe card until the expiration date. At that time, a new chip card will be automatically sent to you at no cost.
